Star Garnet Mini Sphere

Garnet is a collective term for a group of silicate minerals that all possess similar physical properties and crystal structures. These garnets are Almandine garnets, first named by Pliny the Elder, and have a characteristic deep red colour, stemming from it's iron alumina composition.
The term Star Garnet relates to these spheres displaying Asterism. Asterism is a variety of Chatoyance where light is reflected in a single beam, in these cases, the light is reflected as three intersecting beams in a star like appearance.
