Amethyst Tumble
Amethyst is a form of quartz well known for its distinct purple colouration. It's colour stems from the irradiation of trivalent iron, as well as transitional elements within the crystal structure. When heated it can resemble citrine, and is often sold as HTA citrine.
Amethyst derives its name from the Greek word for intoxicate "methysko", and was once thought to provide protection against drunkenness and hangovers.
